Spot Plays for 7/25/2009

River Downs

Race 6: # 2 A Rose for Lisa makes her third start today and should take another step forward. She ran well in her debut here at River then put in an even effort going shorter at Mountaineer. She ships back to a circuit that might be a little softer and has an okay work since her last effort. She seems to be rounding into good form and could come home first today.

Belmont Park

Race 9: # 7 Hightap comes into this spot on a two race win streak and should make it three in a row today. She seems to be in the best form of any runner in this race and her breeding shows she should handle the added distance today. Since her last outing she has put in two solid works over the training track at Saratoga and looks ready for this spot. She gets a new jock in Edgar Prado which is a positive sign. Look for Hightap to find the winner's circle again today.

Canterbury Park

Race 4: # 5 Mizzcan'tbewrong rides a two race win streak into this contest and should make it three in a row today. She took down two stakes that were taken off the turf but it just as effective on the lawn. She hasn't faced as tough of competition as the favorite in the race but she is just as good and should be a better price. Gets Robby Albarado for this effort which is a good sign. Look for three in a row from Mizzcan'tbewrong today.

Race 6: # 4 Who Let the Cat In has won five of his last six effort and should run very well today. He likes this oval with two wins and a second from three starts here and might be ready for a big effort today. Paul Nolan guided him home first last out and could do it again. This might be the toughest field he has faced in a while but surely he's up to the task today. Look for a winning run from Who Let the Cat In
