Indiana Downs

Race 1: # 12 Giddyup Gadfly is bred to run on the lawn and should get home first tonight. He comes from the Eric Reed barn which is the best in these situations. The only thing that worries me is the outside post. With Julio Felix in the irons look for a big effort from Giddyup Gadfly.

Race 7: # 8 Winners Get Even just missed last out and should have no problems getting home first tonight. Her form has really improved since shipping to Indy back in May and hopefully she can stay on this roll. Orlando Mojica is the best around and should have her in a good spot. He comes from a solid barn and gets one of the best riders on the grounds in Orlando Mojica. Look for Yankee Lad to hit a homerun today.

Race 5: # 5 Qsar returns to the turf for this outing and should turn things around. He faced a buzzsaw last out in Antrim County who might be one of the most underrated horses in this country. Qsar is normally in charge of things or sitting just off the pace and might have bit off more than he could chew last time. There are no Antrim County's in this race so Qsar should have things his own way. Orlando Mojica keeps the mount for Ralph Martinez.

Mountaineer

Race 1: # 1 Sunshine Bo makes his third start off of a layoff and should be rounding into form today. He has been improving greatly in the last two starts and could be fit for tonight's effort. He takes a drop in class for tonight and shortens up to 7 furlongs which could be key. Robert Reeves, Jr. rides for J.W. Baird

Race 9: # 2 Rhode to Silence drops in class for this race and could spring the upset. He moves back to the state-bred competition for this run and makes his third start off the year over the River oval. Sometimes horses need trips over this oval to get better and surely he can put it all together today. Look for a big effort from Rhode to Silence.

Race 11: # 5 Spunky Bottoms was the beaten favorite last out and should redeem herself today. She steps up in class today but should be aided by the weather. She loves off going and with all the rain that fell yesterday and last night the track should be sloppy to muddy at best. She gets a jock switch to Christian Rojas who doesn't come to River often but when he does he is dangerous. Look for Spunky Bottoms to spring the upset today.

Race 10: # 2 Just Dazzling seems to be rounding back into form and should get the top spot today. He takes a slight drop in class from non-winner of 2 in 9 months to non-winners of a race in that same timeframe. He really loves this oval with 4 of his 5 wins coming over the Queen City oval. With the Bush brothers teaming up look for a winning effort from Just Dazzling today.

Race 12: # 2 Winzalot put in a solid effort last time and should add another win to his resume today. He's been off for about six weeks so he should be fresh and he comes from a barn that is very hot right now. Can't go wrong with picking Perry Ouzts on a runner and hopefully he can get Winzalot to the winner's circle today.

Arlington Park

Race 3: # 5 Arching just missed last out against similar and should get the job done today. She went to the lead last out and her past form indicates that when she goes to the front she is in good form. Race 7: # 7 Need Money Dad won well last out and should put together back to back wins tonight. He comes from a barn that is sharp right now and should have El Bomba ready to roll. With the weedeater Pablo Tolentino in the irons look for a winning run from El Bomba.

Race 8: # 7 Mini Mom is the class of this field and should run away from this bunch. I know she will not pay much but surely she is a single in those late pick 3 and daily double wagers. She loves this oval and really loves racing on the grass plus her last effort at Arlington was very very good. If she is on her game look for a winning run from Mini Mom today.

Mountaineer

Race 3: # 3 Got Bling returns to grass racing tonight and should be able to spring an upset. The favorites in this race have little or no turf form and lack the turf breeding needed to win in this spot. Got Bling is bred to run on the lawn( being by Langfurh) and is a true sprinter being a half sister the the great sprinter Too Much Bling. She has been improving in each of her last starts and there are no Donamours here tonight. Look for a winning run from Got Bling

Jeff Thornbury doesn't ship to River very often but when he does he comes loaded. Look for a winning run from Yankee Lad today.

Arlington Park

Race 2: # 8 Tucky just missed last out and should get to the winner's circle today. He is bred to run on the lawn and finally gets on it. Since getting off of dirt his form has improved and hopefully getting to grass for the first time will key a victory. James Graham has been aboard for both of this runners better effort and hopefully third time can be the lucky charm today.

Race 5: # 9 Gran Estreno is looking to stay undefeated over the AP oval and has a big shot today. He steps up in class but is in good form and his breeding and past races show he can handle this level. His early speed will be key here as there isn't that much early lick for this distance. The Mike Stidham barn has done nothing wrong so far this season and should have another winner with Gran Estreno today.

Race 7: # 1 Macho Camacho is my longshot play and should spring a massive upset in this extended route today. Alot of times these races come up short on early speed and this race is no different. Macho Camacho is the only speed runner in this spot plus he draws the rail so should get the shortest trip around the track. Picks up the bug boy Roan Vargas so he gets a break in weights. Look for Macho Camacho to throw the knockout punch early.

Race 10: # 11 Lauro makes his second start off of a layoff today and should be fitter for today's run. He just tired a little last out but that was to be expected. Plus the ground at Pimlico was a bit firmer than he likes. Getting on a soft turf course today should help and with the lack of speed in the spot he can control the pace and could lull them to sleep early. Andrasch Starke ships in from Germany for the mount which is a positive sign. Look for a strong run from Lauro

Race 11: # 6 Charitable Man won for fun last out over the oval and should get home first today. He's undefeated on regular dirt and looks like he might be rounding into form. He is bred for this race being by a Belmont Stakes winner. Plus being out of a Saint Ballado mare he should handle the off going just fine. Alan Garcia fits this horse well and should have no issues getting the job done today.

River Downs

Race 12: # 4 Howdy Boy Rib just missed last out and should step things up today. He might have regressed just a little in that last outing and might have disliked the distance. He turns back to a distance where he has been very sucessfull and should be set to fire big today. Edgar Paucar retains the mount today.

Arlington Park

Race 9: # 4 My Best Pal Red has been consistent in the past and should have no issue regaining his winning form today. He was a decent third in his return to AP and should improve in today's run. He gets back on the grass for this which could be key and get E. T. Baird back aboard who seems to have the keys to this runner. Look for a big effort from My Best Pal Red today.

Belmont Park

Race 9: # 7 Elmfield Boy won easily last out and should keep his undefeated record in tact today. This is a big step up in distance and class for him but he is bred to run all day and seems fit after that nice effort at Presque Isle. He is one of the few in this race that has handled softer turf and with all the rain yesterday and the day before the turf should have some give to it. Eibar Coa picks up the mount which is a positive sign.

River Downs

Race 11: # 4 Holly the Dud makes her third start off of a layoff and should be fit to roll today. She turns back to a sprint distance and moves back to the dirt where she is much more effective. She really likes this oval with five of her six wins coming here at River and she can handle sloppy tracks as well as dry tracks. With Cesar Camaque in the saddle look for a winning effort from Holly the Dud today.

Churchill Downs

Race 2: # 7 Miss Buddhafull drops to the lowest claiming price on form and should step things up today. She ran an okay fourth at 7 furlongs and should enjoy the added distance for this run. She has proven in the past to handle the distance and might have need that race over the Churchill oval last out. She gets a new jock in Christian Santiago Reyes who is a solid jock and should get Miss Buddhafull home today.

Race 4: # 3 Tar Beach makes his second start of 2009 and should run well again today. He ran a decent race in his return and the added furlong today will be key. Since that last start he has fired a quick workout for this start and seems fit for a big run. The team of McPeek and Albarado have been on fire recently and should get Tar Beach home first today.

Monmouth Park

Race 6: # 8 Reata's Vixen returns to racing on the Jersey shore and should return to her winning ways. She has been much more competitive over the turf here than in Florida or New York and with the slight layoff she should be fit. She gets the riding services of Carlos Marquez, Jr. who is one of the most underrated turf riders in the country. Look for Reata's Vixen to turn things around today.

Race 8: # 4 Show Place is the only runner in the race with multiple wins over the Monmouth turf course which give her an advantage over this bunch. Her last start was the first since December and she surely needed it. Since that last start she has put in a string of good workouts over the polytrack at Keeneland and should be fit for this run. With Paco Lopez in the irons look for Show Place to win today.

Indiana Downs

Race 3: # 9 Smart Attire drops to the lowest claiming price of his career looking to get home first today. He moves to the turf which could be a positive and he is by one of the hottest sires going right now in Smarty Jones. Since his last start at Oaklawn he has put in a couple of okay workouts at Victory Haven training center and should be fit. With Fernando De La Cruz up look for a winning effort from Smart Attire today.

Race 5: # 8 Antrim County ships to Indy for the first time and should win for fun today. He has been facing much tougher in his past and the trip up here should help him add another win to his resume. River Downs

Race 1: # 7 City Councilor makes his debut today against a competitive field and should make a good showing of himself. He's from a winning family that has produced a couple of stakes winners and even a state sprint champ. He has a couple of workouts over the Beulah oval and hopefully is fit for this run today. Ramon Luna picks up the mount today for Jake Radosevich

Race 4: # 2 Pro Bono cuts back in distance and moves back to the dirt which should be key in his performance today. He tired in that last effort but he might not have liked the turf and that run was against tougher than he is facing today. His last River effort was very good and if he can return to that form he will be dangerous. Perry Ouzts pick up the mount today.

Indiana Downs

Race 6: # 6 Sweet Talkin Rose ships in for this effort and should be ready to roll today. She ran solid against similar at River last out and should be fit enough for this run. She has won on the turf before and will be a factor today. With Belen Quinonez in the irons look for another winning effort from Sweet Talkin Rose today.

Indiana Downs

Race 3: # 10 Sligo's Secret gets on the grass today and should be able to turn things around. He ran a poor race last time but that was moved to the main track because of rain and hopefully that will not happen today. He drops down to the claiming ranks today which could be key to a rebound. With Rodney Prescott back in the irons look for improvement from Sligo's Secret today.

Race 5: # 8 Panthera Tigre steps up in class today but should run a decent race today. She is much better on the lawn then all-weather or dirt surfaces so the move to the grass today could be key. Since her last effort she has put together two solid workouts at trackside which show she is fit. Only question is can she handle the five furlong distance. Rafael Mojica, Jr. picks up the mount today.

Race 7: # 2 Princess Composer returns from the bench today and should fire at a big price. She is almost unbeatable in the state of Indiana and she can run on all surfaces. Since going to the bench she has put in some okay works at Gulfstream as well as Turfway to prep for her 2009 return. She fires well fresh and should have no issues restarting her win streak. With Karlo Lopez in the irons look for Princess Composer to return in a big way.

Mountaineer

Race 2: # 7 Here Comes Scooter showed some improvement last out and should move forward today. He is bred to love the grass and should fire big on the lawn tonight. He gets one of the most underrated riders on the grounds in Jesus Barria which should help tonight. Look for Here Comes Scooter to speed by the competition tonight.
