Spot Plays for 8/5/2009

Saratoga

Race 3: # 6 Hidden Face makes her debut today and this well-bred daughter of Empire Maker has the ability to get the job done. She has a string of solid workouts for this debut including a sharp work over this oval. She gets the riding services of Alan Garcia who might be the best up at the Spa and should guide Hidden Face home first today.

Race 4: # 8 Paddy O'Prado makes his turf debut today and should turn things around. He showed little in his debut but that was on a surface he may not have liked. He gets on the grass and his breeding indicates he can handle the lawn. Since his last race he has had a solid workout over the grass up here which could be key. Look for Paddy O'Prado to spring the upset today.

Del Mar

Race 8: # 8 Gangbuster ships out west for this outing and should spring an upset. He his a distance specialist and loves polytrack so he should have no issues on the Del Mar poly or going this far. He comes out of a key race as the winner came back to win a stakes in his next out. A jock switch to Corey Nakatani could be key in getting Gangbuster home on top today.
