Spot Plays for 9/20/2009

Belmont Park

Race 6: # 6 Asphalt ran okay in his debut and should improve greatly today. He is bred to love the turf and trying it today should be the key to victory. His last race might be key as the second place finisher came back to win. With Ramon Dominguez aboard look for a winning effort from Asphalt today.

Woodbine

Race 4: # 6 Points of Grace returns to her favorite surface and should improve today. She got bumped around last time against much tougher at Arlington and could step forward with a cleaner trip. Her last run over the Woodbine turf was a winning one and with the underrated Luis Contreras aboard look for a good run from Points of Grace today.

Race 8: # 5 Marsh Side has been working well for this effort and should fire well today. He might have been a little tired after coming back from Dubai and didn't run all that well in his two return outings. Since then he has had some time off and some strong works out in California and one decent work over the oval. He won last year's Canadian International and could be getting ready to defend his title. Look for a good run from Marsh Side today.

Race 10: # 5 Bribon is a flat mile specialist and should run big today. He might be better on dirt than turf but he can handle the lawn okay. He has won or been competitive in some of the best mile races in the U.S. and should fire today. Look for Alan Garcia to guide Bribon home first today.
