Spot Plays for 9/26/2009

Turfway Park

Race 7: # 3 Mountain Trail makes his second start today and should move forward off of his last. He lacked late punch over the Hoosier oval last time and may enjoy the poly at Turfway better. Offsprings of Cactus Ridge do very well over this oval and the jock switch to Joe Johnson might be key. Look for a winning effort from Mountain Trail today.

Race 10: # 10 Indescribable returns to all-weather racing today and should find the winner's circle. She has been going backwards lately but those efforts were against tougher on the turf at Saratoga. She moves back to polytrack where she has four of her six wins and gets Garret Gomez which is always a plus. Look for a good effort from Indescribable today.

Race 12: # 4 Big Push loves all-weather surfaces and should excel in his Turfway debut. He has three of his four wins on all-weather surfaces and trains over one at Fair Hill in Maryland. He has been working well for this effort and with Robby Albarado aboard look for a winning effort from Big Push today.

Race 13: # 9 Dubious Miss is rounding into form and should get home first today. He was a decent second last out over poly at Arlington and seems to handle it just as well as dirt. He gets the riding services of Calvin Borel who has never lost on this runner and should extend his win streak on Dubious Miss today.

Presque Isle Downs

Race 6: # 10 Angus Kahn is one for one over this oval and should return to his winning ways today. He didn't handle the dirt too well last out but seems to be a better runner on all-weather ovals. Since his last he has fired four strong workouts over the polytrack at Keeneland and seems fit to fire today. Ronnie Allen, Jr. rides which is key.
