Cincy Kid Spot Plays for 5/5/2009

River Downs:

Race 3: Longshot Play # 3 Look At This Cat is making his third start off a layoff and might be ready today. This is his second start off of the polytrack which has been a key angle at River this season and picks up the riding services of Pablo Tolentino who is quietly having a good season at River. This horse likes the oval with 2 of his 3 wins coming in Cincinnati. Look for Look At This Cat to pop at a price today.

Race 5: # 1 Dancing Don was a decent fourth against similar last out and should run better today. This is his second effort off of the polytrack which is key and he may not have liked the mud last time as he has never hit the board on an off track. Getting a fast track today should help.

Race 8: Cincinnati Kid Play of the Day # 2 Halmi was a solid fourth in his 2009 debut last out and should improve greatly today. He stretches out for this effort and his last start is looking like a key race as the second place finisher came back to win for fun at Thistle this past weekend. Look for a winning effort from Halmi as the Cincinnati Kid Play of the Day.

Indiana Downs

Race 2: # 8 Having Faith makes her first start off of a claim for Dougie Cowans and should find the winner's circle today. She stretches out to a mile today and shifts to the turf which should help her cause. The move from Keeneland to Indiana should be enough for Having Faith to come home first today.

Mountaineer

Race 8: # 3 Pulpit's Jet moves back to the proper condition and should run better. He tried non-winners of three last time and should run better facing two life foes today. He might be picking a fight today with this bunch but should be effective with Ricky Knott in the saddle

Race 9: # 6 River Spey is a standout in this field and should run away from this bunch. She's undefeated over this oval and should make it two for two today. Look for a romp from River Spey today. Deshawn Parker picks up the mount for Wayne McDonnell
