Spot Plays for 5/7/2009

River Downs

Race 12: # 5 Poker Princess comes into this spot on a two race win streak and looks to make it three in a row today. She has flashed a ton of speed in her last couple at Beulah and should be on or near the lead early in this spot. She has won over this oval in the past and can handle fast as well as off goings. With Edgar Paucar back in the saddle look for a winning effort from Poker Princess

Arlington Park

Race 8: # 1 First Movement returns from the shelf today looking to get back to the winner's circle. He's in a level that fits and loves this surface at Arlington with 7 of his 10 wins coming here. The Larry Rivelli barn is hot right now and with E. T. Baird in the irons look for a big return from First Movement

Belmont Park

Race 1: # 7 Hedgefund Investor makes his first start off a claim by Scott Lake and should be ready to roll today. The Lake barn is solid first off the claim and seem to spot their horses well. This son of Tale of the Cat shortens up in distance but stays on the turf which is key. Ramon Dominguez picks up the mount which is key

Race 8: # 5 Alcomo ships to Belmont for the first time looking to get to the winner's circle. He was a decent second at Hawthorne and should improve with the extra distance. This runner is much better as the races get longer and hopefully he can spring a slight upset today.

Churchill Downs

Race 4: # 5 Loveyou Everybody drops back to the allowance level today and should get the job done. She may have been over hear head in the last couple and the drop in class should help. She has had a string of solid workouts over the oval and should be ready for today's contest. Robby Albarado gets back aboard today
